Grade levels and the pricing of the Granite / Marble / Slate / Travertine / Limestone / Exotics are determined by each of the vendors. They all have pricing that is pretty consistent within the grade levels. Generally speaking the level 1 granite has more granule and may have some movement. As you move up in the grade levels you will notice more movement such as lines, fissures, waves and possibly more color or colors that are not normally present in the lower grade levels. Levels are generally determined by quantity or availability, popularity or demand, where it is coming from and minerals present with in the granite slabs.
Looking at and choosing your Stone: When you go to look you should mention DFW Granite Inc./Michele is your fabricator to the vendor; also let the vendor know what granite[s] or natural stone you were given a bid for. This gives them the grade level your probably wanting stay in and to only show you those stones that you were given a bid on and any other colors within similar range.
